Why Take the Class?
While the hearing aid technology has never been as good as it is today, there are many people who continue to need other methods to help them communicate better. When speech is unclear, even with the help of a hearing aid, it is very helpful to teach the person to use their eyes to help their ears hear.
Read what participants had to say about the class by reading our Speechreading Testimonials.
What is Speechreading?
Speechreading is using visual cues from a person’s face, lips and gestures to help you understand verbal messages better. While most people speech read to some degree, those with hearing loss rely on it much more often than those with normal hearing ability. Speechreading is a skill that can be taught, practiced and improved upon in a group situation.
